Does your vehicle need to be clay barred?
A hand wash leaves your car looking clean but if you run your finger over the paint and it still feels dirty and rough then it needs to be clay barred before getting buffed. That’s because a hand wash does not remove bug guts, tar and tree sap as well industrial fallout which are tiny pieces of metal from the road and other cars that lands on your paint. If you take a buffer to apply polish and wax but you don’t clay bar first then you’re going to end up with swirl scratches all over your paint job because the buffer spins a thousand times a minute and will drag this debris all over your paint job. But a clay bar does remove these contaminants and ads a new level of shine, and when you run your finger over that paint afterwards its smooth as glass. Now your vehicles properly prepped for your paint to be waxed and polished with a buffer
Polish paint with a buffer
(This removes light scratches from your paint, brings you to you to a level of shine comparable to a mirror finish/reflection. You can hold a dollar Bill face down shoulder height standing in front of the hood and read the serial number off of it, that is how clear and reflective Polish Will make it. People don’t realize their car can be Shinier than the day they drove it off the lot with the right stuff)
Wax with a buffer
( once your paint is all clean from contaminants and super shiny from polishing it is vulnerable to recontamination and UV damage from the Sun and other elements, so to keep that paint shiny and looking good you need to protect it. A good polymer wax seals all the goodness in and harm out. Keeps that clear coat prestine. Doing this every 4 months is how you have a 10 year old car looking like it’s got a brand new paint job)
