Preschool Teacher/Aide

Our school is seeking a Preschool School Teacher and an Aide.. You will work as part of a team that cultivates a loving, nurturing, learning environment for the children in our care and their families and ensure that the school stays in compliance with the MSDE.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Teacher will be leading the class and will need to have MDSE Teacher Certifications
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Teacher Aide will assist in creating and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment conducive to the overall development and well-being of children.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

2 years experience as an aide for a pre-school
Prepares/Assists for lessons/projects
Help set up activities for children
Assists in transitioning the children as needed
Sweeps the floor after snack/lunch is completed
Promptness in attendance & reliability
Performs duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Understanding and ability to implement standards for early childhood education and alignment with Kindergarten readiness in accordance with MCPS as well as MSDE
Ability to adapt to changing expectations
Excellent judgment and decision making skills
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with program staff, families and children
Effective conflict resolution skills with children, families and team members
Excellent verbal English communication skill
Ability to maintain a high level of self-motivation, engagement with children, and positive energy throughout the work day
Creative approach to methodology of learning through age appropriate preschool projects via art, music, and storytelling
Promptness in attendance & reliability
Performs other duties, as assigned

HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (10-25 hours a week) Job Type: Part Time
