We are a small manufacturer of concrete curbing machines. We do our own powder coating of the frame and associated parts on our machines. We have included a description of what goes into Powder coating and what the durability of the process.
Powder coating is a different way to paint your metal parts. Rather than using traditional metal paint, the color is sprayed onto the metal’s surface with an electrical charge and then cured with heat (around 400 degrees F.). Like spray paint, the preparation of the piece to be powder coated is key. There are many colors you can choose from when powder coating and we can do multiple colors on one piece. Another key advantage of powder coating is that it protects the roughest, toughest machinery as well as the household items you depend on daily. It provides a more durable finish than liquid paints can offer, while still providing an attractive finish. Powder coated products are more resistant to impact, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions. It reduces the risk of scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, fading, and other wear issues.
Our Current set up :
– a large sand blasting cabinet
– powder coating spray booth
– oven (That measures 3′ x 3′ x 6′)
If you have a need to powder coat parts for your project, contact us. We do not powder coat wheels or anything that will not fit in the cabinet or oven. Give us your parts, we will do all the prep and hand them back with a great finish.
We do offer pickup and delivery for an extra fee (20 mile radius from Vienna VA).
