Are you looking for a well-established job for steady work at great pay? Our 44-year old commercial cleaning company is hiring for a commercial janitor / cleaner to work for a private school client.
Here’s the 411:
The private school is located in the Fairfax area. We need someone to work with a TEAM of people from 6:30pm through 1:30am each night for 7 hours, every Monday through Friday for a total of 35 hours per week.
The work involves general cleaning duties like vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning, and other duties as prescribed by our team and the client. There is a possibility of additional work during the summertime, and this might include some deep cleaning, including opportunities to learn specialty floor work.
The good stuff:
– 35 hours weekly guaranteed.
– Paid holidays as presented by our company and the client (e.g. Christmas, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc.).
– $14.50/hr base with a chance for some optional overtime, if desired. That’s at least $500+/week if you don’t miss any work. We do negotiate raises through our client each year.
– Free uniform shirts.
What we need the candidate to know:
– Because it is a school, background checks are required by Virginia. Clean records are necessary. We also require some paid Training.
– The tasks could vary like vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash, restrooms, classroom cleaning, cafeteria cleaning, etc.
– Paydays are semimonthly on the 1st and 15th, or the next business day if a weekend or holiday.
– It’s OK to take public transport. There’s also a ton of free parking onsite.
