Kennel Manager/ Kennel Assistant(s) – Full Time – Live in/Live Out

Interviews now being conducted for a Full-Time Kennel Manager and Kennel Attendants at our private show-dog kennel affiliated with a local veterinary hospital.
The Manager Position is LIVE-IN (see below) and Assistants can be local commuter(s).

– Prior Kennel experience is required for Manager/Live-in position. Experience is preferred for Attendants but not necessary with adequate background in multi-dog environments, pet-sitting, grooming, etc…
– Must be physically fit enough to exercise/leash walk large dogs.
– Must have no issue with climbing stairs between our multi-level facility – multiple times per shift.
– Must be able to lift and carry 30# bags of dog food
– Must have a verifiable work history with record of being punctual and reliable
– Must have reasonably clean driving record with current driver’s license
– Must pass a Background Check with clean results

The „Live-in“ compensation package includes residence in a private on-site efficiency apartment – including reasonable utilities (water, electric, TV, Internet). Pets are allowed (with approval). Other benefits commensurate with the veterinary-related industry.

All positions consist of distributed (morning or evening) shifts including at least one Weekend day. Live-in Kennel Manager must have ability to manage personal time as well as oversee the tasks performed by assistants.

It is a great „get your foot in the door“ learning opportunity as we are affiliated with a local veterinary hospital. If you are interested in a career in animal medicine, this position provides some of the needed „hands-on“ prerequisites. It is also perfect for self-study college student taking online classes or enrolled in a veterinary certificate program.

We would also consider an adult Husband and Wife „team“ who can work efficiently together.
