SUMMARY:
The Credit and Collections Representative is responsible for collection of overdue customer invoices, posting of cash receipts, and account reconciliations. Credit and Collections Representatives are also responsible for providing other service or sales support as needed to provide the best possible customer service.
The position requires an organized, efficient and goal-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills, negotiation skills, and analytical skills. Successful credit/collections representatives will also posses strong written and verbal communication skills for use in dialogue with customers. The capacities to research data, solve problems and independently make decisions that fall within policy are also essential traits required for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Review orders on credit hold at multiple points daily, gather information needed for order approval/hold decision by upper management. Process cash receipts, support customer service with inbound calls/customer orders, account reconciliations, Assist w/other customer service/administrative duties as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Knowledge of Basic Accounting and related experience and/or training preferred; familiarity with MS suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Must adhere to work schedule. Ability to spend extended periods of time viewing a PC screen. High Paced Office environment Stress tolerance.
Benefits:
Monday through Friday, daytime work schedule, 8:30-5:00
$16.00 to $19.00 an hour depending on experience
