Adventure Tours is a Charter Bus Company looking for Dispatchers with a CDL and experience in running charter/shuttle bus operations. Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday shifts are available. Requirements:

  • Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brakes.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service.
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment background check, DOT physical, and drug screen.
  • 1 year of preferred Charter/Shuttle Operations experience.
  • Previous dispatch experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize time to balance conflicting demands related to customer care and dispatching.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers in fast-paced and/or stressful environment (interpersonal & telephone skills)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers and other team members
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure.
  • Ability to work within the appropriate level of independence.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Program and TDS computerized routing software.
  • Knowledge of Coach Manager Dispatching Software is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read road and street maps.
  • Ability to keep organized and accurate records relating to overall dispatch and routing responsibilities..

Job Duties:

  • Scheduling drivers for routes.
  • Confirming driver schedules.
  • Monitoring route performance.
  • Supporting getting buses prepared for trips. 
  • Driver training on shuttle routes.
  • Reviewing driver’s folders and driver logs.
